Pantone Color Report: Fall 2013!
Did you hear? Pantone came out with their top colors picks for Fall, 2013! And I can't begin to share my excitement! It's definitely fun to see Pantone's tops picks for the season. And with an array of happy hues as pretty as these, I'm instantly seeing the party planning potential in each of their choices. And well, I couldn't be more thrilled to weigh in with my thoughts and opinions. Especially when it comes to how this will translate in the world of wedding color palettes.
First up, we have this beautiful, berry infused shade that goes by the name, Vivacious. Elegant, enchanting, and surely the sort of color perfect for your upcoming soiree, this wildly deep fuchsia is all about adding a touch of sensuality to the palette.
I suggest pairing Vivacious with anchoring Deep Lichen Green, a naturally lush shade of green, and you'll have a palette that captures both ends of the seasonal spectrum. Or why not keep things simple and pair it with a touch of antique gold like I've done here?

Next up on this year's ''it'' color list for Fall is this spicy shade of red that Pantone is calling Samba! Praised for it's intensity, I'm loving this powerful color and I hope you can see why! I suggest pairing fiery hues like this with understated neutrals. And I'm especially loving the way it looks with burlap!

Looking for a color that will add richness and a beautiful glow that would be difficult to ignore? Why not consider Koi? This shade absolutely captures the spirit of Fall with it's shimmering qualities and can be combined with many of these colors to create pretty and powerful Fall combinations. Feeling as though your palette is lacking oomph? I suggest adding a pop of Koi to make a statement both in your wardrobe and in your wedding!

Next up, we have this soft shade of green that Pantone is calling, Linden Green! Soft, sultry and surely the sort of palette that embodies the idea of growth and new life, Linden Green is a breath of fresh air and definitely the kind of color that I love for weddings and parties. I suggest keeping it simple by pairing it with a crisp, clean white like I've done here.

Love green, but looking for a color with a bit more depth? Why not consider a color like Deep Lichen Green? Praised for it's richness and earthy flair, I love this shade because I find it to be unexpectedly pretty and not entirely overused. I love the idea of using shades of green in a garden setting or even an outdoor Fall affair! Perhaps a vineyard even?

With the changing season, as you might expect, the greens from Spring will evolve and develop. Multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate, bringing luxury and elegance to the palette. I suggest pairing this year's color of the year with Mykonos Blue, a bold, meditative blue, for a classic and preppy look.

Have a passion for all things purple? Well, then I invite you to take a quick peek at this pretty shade that Pantone is calling Acai! Rich, gorgeous, and surely the sort of color that exudes a royal flair, I suggest pairing this elegant shade of purple with Emerald for a regal disposition, or spirited Samba red for an expressive and dramatic look.

Looking for a color that exudes a sense of calm and relaxation? Mykonos Blue is a color that I'm really loving and I'm so glad it made Pantone's list for Fall! Anchoring Mykonos Blue is a classic shade that offers both depth and a richness to an entire palette. I personally love to see this color used in nautical themed weddings. Combine Mykonos Blue with basic white to achieve a nautical inspired look. Or consider mixing it with Emerald for a palette that will surely wow!

Rounding out this season's cornerstone colors, Turbulence, a dark mercurial gray, and Carafe, a rich, glamorous brown, provide more interesting and sophisticated alternatives to the black basics usually worn in colder months. Both staple neutrals pair effortlessly with more expressive colors within the palette, such as Samba, Koi and Vivacious. I personally have always been a fan of shades of gray.

And what's not to love about a palette of rich browns like this one? Carafe is surely a color that's big in the world of weddings and from the looks of these gorgeous details, I can surely see why! Although I love to see brown used in a rustic way, I also think there's something to be said about using it in a very elegant way like this. Here, I've paired it with antique gold and a touch of ivory. It's a rustic, yet elegant affair!
